An island at the mouth of Salt Creek in the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State is the subject of this Northwest seascape painting. The creek is located on the Strait of Juan de Fuca which divides the United States from the Canadian border. It spills into the strait on the rocky shore.

The original painting was created with oil paints on a stretched canvas.
